About Me

I have been practicing yoga and also pilates since my teenage years! I initially focused on Bikram yoga as I found the physical aspect suited me at that time of my life. However, after discovering the more traditional styles of yoga including Hatha and Vinyasa, I discovered that yoga was much more than a type of ‘gym workout’. It was then I began to appreciate how yoga does not only have physical benefits but also more importantly it has overall ‘life’ benefits. It can bring a sense of calm and peace to your life by allowing you to still your mind and as some yogis would say…just be :). I am very passionate about yoga, I practice regularly and have completed a number of retreats including an amazing one in India during which time, I made the decision to become a yoga teacher…..one of the best decisions of my life. 🙂

It was quite a life changer as I am a tax accountant by profession. I now realise that the next tax deadline is not what life is all about. We are worth more than that and it is time we took time out to have some valuable me time ..we deserve it 🙂 x

Why I became a YogaBellies Teacher...

Why I became a YogaBellies teacher:
Whilst I do love a challenge on the mat I also believe that yoga should be accessible to anyone that wishes to try and I know that virtually everybody can benefit from it in some way. Yoga bellies embodies this belief. As a yoga bellies teacher I welcome all pregnant women from all walks of life and with varying degrees of yoga experience from absolute beginners to those who practice more regularly. Yoga bellies classes offer a supportive environment for pregnant women of all ages and offer the opportunity to meet other women in a very comfortable setting. As a yoga bellies teacher I really do think that it is never too late to start yoga 🙂

Yoga bellies classes are practiced with women in mind…we create a warm welcoming comfortable atmosphere by incorporating relaxing music and high quality yoga bellies mats. My students are very important to me and I want to ensure that you walk away from a yoga bellies class feeling revitalised calm and relaxed x

“I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know I had baby Valentina on the 12 December I was induced as she was late and my waters we’re trickling.

I just wanted to thanks you for all the things you taught me in the class especially the breathing exercises. I found the mediation at the end of the classes very helpful as I used it to keep calm during the start of the birth. In fact I gave birth with no pain relief at all! As I was so calm.

I will certainly be recommending you to any one I know as I found your course invaluable and professional. ”

“This is such a lovely class for all mums-to-be. I really recommend. Triona is a fantastic teacher and by the end of the class you feel so relaxed it’s great!”

“Triona’s yoga class in Richmond is not only welcoming and relaxing but the exercises really helped to strengthen my mind and body throughout my pregnancy and put me in a great position physically when it came to giving birth.I can not recommend the class highly enough to anyone else who is expecting.”

“I could not recommend Triona’s classes highly enough. I have done yoga before but these classes are suitable for all and really tailored to the needs of soon to be Mums. I only recently had my baby and could not have coped in early labour without the breathing techniques we covered in each session. It’s a real chance to have time for yourself and bump and keep strong and healthy for labour and beyond”

“I would highly recommend Yogabellies in Richmond. I was a complete novice to yoga, so felt very nervous in the beginning, but Triona made me feel incredibly welcome and relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. It’s great coming away feeling so relaxed and calm after a hard day at work! “
