I am an outgoing and enthusiastic mummy of two little angels and a people person who loves interacting and communicating with people. I have a wide variety of interests from yoga, to crystals to movies to food and pretty much everything in between! Life is about experiences and I want to try and enjoy as many of them as I can!
Over the past 15 years yoga has really become part of my everyday life. If I am not teaching, attending classes or enjoying my personal practice, I will daily be focusing on breathing to ensure a feeling of calm and ease. I love introducing new people to yoga and am always so happy when they enjoy it as much as I do. I find it difficult to relax due to my energetic nature and I find that active relaxation through the practice of yoga allows me to indulge in this luxury.
|Why I became a YogaBellies Teacher...||
Yoga allows us to centre ourselves and calm the mind, allowing us to re-focus and re-align our energies afterwards. It is one of the very few remaining pastimes which allows us break away from our everyday lives and focus on the importance of the self.
Pre and post natal mothers have something to celebrate, either the excitement of waiting for their baby to be born, or the excitement of their birth and developmental bond being established with their baby. YogaBellies classes give us the opportunity to share these special times with these women and support them during the most special times of their lives. I am dedicated, loving and compassionate and I really feel that this coupled with my love of yoga will ensure that it will be a way for me to bring smiles into the hearts of all of the mothers that I encounter and help them at this time.
I am also very passionate about supporting women at every stage of their lives, in particular helping them to rediscover themselves, peel back the layers and remind themselves that it is ok to look inwards. For self love and self nurturing is not selfish, it is selfless as it helps us to be the best version of ourselves. We cannot pour from an empty cup ladies! I adore teaching my CorePlay and Luna classes because ladies, we quite simply rock!

I look forward to my Thursday mornings at Yogabellies so much. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spend time with my baby, stretch away the week’s aches and pains, and chat to other mummies. Sophie’s warmth, enthusiasm and obvious love for her job, make this class a real pleasure from start to finish. Money well spent!
Brilliant classes and a fantastic teacher! I started going to the pregnancy yoga and it really helped me sleep on a Tuesday night. I felt so relaxed every Tuesday night after going and I was able to do the movements at home! I now go to mum and baby yoga which again is just superb. I practice the movements at home with baby Harvey who loves it! I’m learning so many fun ways to alleviate wind, help with bowel movements, teething etc through yoga and they work wonders. Sophie as a teacher is great, she is so welcoming and makes you feel so relaxed when you go to class and she teaches me so much!
Sophie’s pregnancy yoga saved me physically and mentally during a very difficult and anxious pregnancy. Tuesday evenings became a little piece of heaven for me – a haven away from my worries and fears and most importantly straightened me out for the week ahead. It wasn’t just yoga, there was a real feeling of support on the class and especially from Sophie herself. I went on to have a very stress free labour and birth. I practiced yoga throughout labour and Daisy was born whilst I was languishing in ‘polar bear’! If someone had of told me months before that this would happen I never would have believed them. I am now enjoying mum and baby yoga with little Daisy which gives me beautiful one to one time with her (I also have a busy 2 year old!). We are doing yoga every day at home and it works wonders for her wee tummy pains! I am very much looking forward to becoming a yogabelle as soon as the cluster feeding passes! I have never really enjoyed classes before but I can honestly say that these are one of the highlights of my week! Couldn’t recommend Sophie and her yoga classes highly enough. A true professional, expert yoga teacher and genuine fabulous lady.
Sophie is an amazing teacher and really lovely person. It’s so clear how much she loves yoga and really comes across in the class. I loved pregnancy yoga and am now loving mum and baby yoga too. Couldn’t recommend her enough xx
I attend Yoga for mummys and babies and I absolutely love it. Sophie is just such a lovely person and makes you feel very welcome. It’s really nice being able to do yoga with other mums and bond with your baby, its especially fun when the babies join in (and some times pull your hair lol). From singing songs, to dancing around the room with your baby, to drinking coffee I definitely recommend these classes.
Sophie is just wonderful! I went to my first pregnancy yoga class not knowing what to expect & I loved it (&Sophie!) from the word go. My daughter & I now go to mummy & baby yoga – we both love it. Sophie makes it a fun baby bonding session yet you still exercise. Definitely worth going to!!
